Black Swan is the new album release from Tala Records, featuring "Kalahamsa", meaning Black Swan in Hindi. This duet is an intimate trading back and forth between the beautiful bamboo flute called bansuri (played by Taro Terahara) and the expressive hand drums called tabla (performed by Ty Burhoe) with music improvised, yet based around a particular melody (raga) and time cycles of 7 beats and 16 beats. Enjoy the soul stirring melodies and rhythms from India, for the world. Ty has performed in prestigious halls all around the world including Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House and Royal Festival Hall in London.
